My Story

The Story Behind Myers Integrative Health.

Myers Integrative Health was founded out of a clear recognition that traditional, one-size-fits-all therapy models do not work for everyone. Too often, people seek help only to find themselves navigating a rigid system that addresses isolated symptoms rather than the whole person. We realized that true, lasting healing requires a more integrative and holistic approach—one that honors the complex connection between your mind, your nervous system, and your lived experience, rather than simply talking in circles.

Our deepest motivation was to reach the people who have been failed by therapy in the past. It is an incredibly heavy thing to take the brave step of asking for help, only to feel unheard, rushed, or handed vague platitudes that do not translate to real life. We wanted to build a space specifically for those who feel stuck—people carrying trauma, anxiety, or relationship stress who need practical, grounded tools alongside deep, trauma-informed care.

To make this vision a reality, we knew we had to build something of our own. We started Myers Integrative Health with one simple, unwavering focus: the client. By stepping away from the constraints of standard clinical settings, we created a practice where therapy is paced, predictable, and entirely tailored to what actually works for you. It is a calm, judgment-free space designed to help you finally put down what you've been carrying and move forward with steadiness and clarity..

HOW WE WORK

A different kind of therapy experience.

Therapy shouldn't be about just talking in circles. If you've felt stuck, unheard, or handed vague platitudes in the past, this space is built differently.

Practical Tools

We start by giving you evidence-based techniques to regulate your nervous system. Our first goal is to turn down the volume on daily anxiety and stress right away, so you can actually catch your breath..

Deep Processing

Once the daily overwhelm is manageable, we go deeper. We use proven, trauma-informed approaches like EMDR to safely process old wounds and core issues so they stop dictating how you feel in the present.

Clear Direction

We don't wander aimlessly. Together, we build a clear understanding of where you want to be and map out the exact, realistic steps to help you get there—and stay there.

OUR APPROACH TO TRAUMA

Healing that doesn't force you to relive the past

01
Anchor the nervous system first
Traditional talk therapy often asks you to recount painful memories before you're ready. We don't do that. Before we touch the heavy stuff, we build a solid foundation using practical tools to calm your daily anxiety, ensuring you feel secure and grounded.
02
Process without retraumatizing
We don't just talk in circles about the trauma; we use evidence-based tools like EMDR and somatic approaches to actually resolve it. We move exactly at your body's pace, allowing your brain to process old wounds without forcing you to endlessly rehash the details.
03
Reclaim your present
Processing the past is only half the job. True healing is about what becomes possible today. We focus on integrating this new relief directly into your real life, so you can stop bracing for impact and start fully engaging with your future.

    BACKGROUND

The ongoing work.

Therapy moves forward. New research on trauma, neuroscience, and what actually helps people heal comes out every year.

As a practice, we take continuing education seriously. We read the research, integrate new tools, and constantly update how we work.

You shouldn't have to settle for a therapist who learned everything they know a decade ago. We make sure you never have to.

Outside the office

Real humans. Real therapy.

We think the best therapists are the ones who let you see they're actual humans. Our practice is made up of parents, partners, tinkerers, and outdoor enthusiasts navigating the same chaotic world you are.

We appreciate the quiet moments—a storm rolling in, a still morning, the patience it takes to live and grow in the desert. We bring that same grounded patience into the therapy room.

You won't find clinicians here who pretend to have it all perfectly figured out or who talk down to you from a pedestal. We are experienced professionals who know how the gears turn, and we will sit right beside you while we figure out what's next. That's the job. We take it seriously, and we bring our whole selves to it.
